This Month’s verse comes from Isaiah 40:31: “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”

When prophet Isaiah declared these words, the nation of Israel was going through difficult times.

It was being attacked by foreign foes, who threatened the existence of the nation of Israel. Israel suffered to the extent that it was modelled as a suffering servant of God.

Their hope was diminishing day by day. The wait was no longer on God, but death.

All the people waited for the hour of their demise, and that is when Prophet Isaiah said all people might be hopeless now ‘BUT’ those who still hope in the redemption and intervention of Yahweh into the affairs of their lives, will renew their strength, they will not only walk through but also fly over like eagles, they run and not be weary, and if they walk, they won’t faint.

The Word of God communicates and gives hope, in contrast to your present situation.

When you have hope, your present weakness is replaced with strength, and your attitude gains an altitude over and beyond your circumstances.

It is the prayer of the Good News paper that hope will be sown deep in your heart to bear enough fruit of strength against your tough times.

Amen.
