A small man shouts through a loud speaker, ‘’ come to Best Quality supermarket..where you can have whatever you want… for free!… yes for free, you are all welcome!just come!”
Just imagine you heard the call of this man’s voice from a far off which repeatedly recited the above printed caption . Imagine some one approached you and invited you inside to get absolutely anything you wanted for free. I wonder what many of you would do!
I believe different people would react uniquely to this call. some may jump at the opportunity and go inside this supermarket and get what they have long dreamed of having for themselves. Others would choose to turn a blind eye and walk way as fast as they could believing that surely it must be some sort of hoax or trap.
Others, would first “wait and see” before they make any move and some would just remain unmoved in the belief that in reality such free things simply do not and cannot exist ‘without a catch’.
Whichever response taken we all know in this life that God has given us the freedom to make choices whether good or bad. When we read Isaiah 55 :1, he starts by calling everyone,
” Come all who are thirsty. come to the waters and you who have no money come buy and eat. come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost” (NIV).
In a spiritual sense, God is calling daily for you and I to come and partake in the finished work of the cross where Jesus came on this earth specifically to redeem the human race back to God by becoming ‘the sacrificial lamb ‘ for us. in simple terms, Jesus came to give you a relationship with God at no cost to you because it cost him his own life. 2 Corinthians 5:21 “ God made him who had no sin to be sin for us so that in him (Jesus ) we might become the righteousness of god”. Our Lord Jesus willingly came to die on the cross in our place because he loves each and every one of us unconditionally (John 3:16) and he does not wish anyone to die and be eternally separated from god but all to come to repentance through Jesus christ . 2 Peter 3:9, “…He is patient with us not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance”.
My friend before entering in to receive this free and priceless gift of salvation (Ephesians 2: 8-9), you have to first acknowledge that you are a sinner and you need a savior.
When we confess he is ready to forgive and accept us. 1 John 1:9 says, “ if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins”.
The bible also says in John 1:12 “ yet to all who received him to those who believed in his name , he gave the right to become children of god”.
It is that simple! This is the good news! My friend, the lord’s hand is wide open to receive all sinners. you can enter into god’s ‘free supermarket of salvation’ by choosing to repent of your sins and receive his forgiveness through jesus christ or you can refuse to ‘enter in’ and remain in ‘sins’ and be judged.
The choice is yours. It is my prayer that you choose life with christ.
He is waiting to receive you, just as you are.
