The Christian calling to own an office in Church is the greatest of all offices on Earth. Church ministry is superior to all other offices because God has called us to represent Him on this planet he created. The greatest command Jesus gave to His ministers is in Mathew 28:19-20 and Mark 16:15-16 (please read). Any minister of the Gospel and every Christian who loves Jesus Christ should have the above implanted in their bone marrow. These scriptures should be grafted into a believer’s soul like a surgeon grafts a kidney or bone marrow into a human body.
Paul’s message to Timothy against false ministers
Paul warned Timothy false teachers were present then and would undoubtedly be there in the Church. He warned him to watch. 1Timothy 1:10 reads: “For the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers – and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine…” (NIV). In 1Timothy 3, Apostle Paul summaries what a minister of the Gospel needs to be while holding this greatest office on Earth.
The Pope’s concern
Pope Francis has been addressing and investigating clerics who abuse God’s office through sexual delinquency. And worse still, sex abuse among children. It is really a great shame. What has happened? Ministers misusing God’s money and turning the Church into business? These are God’s concerns to the present day Church. Believers need to arise, be counted and stand up for Jesus. We are assured of victory. The psalmist summarizes this in Psalm 68.
Let God arise and let His enemies be scattered.
