This month, I pray that your love may abound. And that love should abound more and more in knowledge and all discernment.
We think of love as being undiscriminating. Discrimination and love seem like opposites.
But Paul prayed that the Philippians would grow in discerning love. Love is not blind. It does not close its eyes to reality.
It is not a feeling devoid of content. Biblical love is related to true knowledge and it operates with careful discernment.
This month, we are called to love, to be knowledgeable and discerning.
