The fact that we have read or seen people who ran their race successfully, makes it hard at times because we have to compare ourselves with them. Also, with too many temptations around us, it is difficult.
Then also, sometimes you may offer to help the Church, and leave your future to the unknown. For example, my grandfather gave land to a certain Church but as I talk, we as his grand children do not have enough land because the rest is occupied by the Church.

According to me, there are many blames from family for having chosen a particular religious path. Some of them do not like born-again Christians.
Also, there are conflicts in Church; religious leaders arguing on who is right or wrong. This confuses the people who would want to go to Church.

We live in a secular world and secular things come with glam. It is honestly hard to not lose focus of what we are called to do as Christians. God says we are not of this world, but sometimes we get caught up in the worldly things.
Also, as humans, your faith can sometimes be shaken by the happenings in this world; when you lose someone or have been praying for something and nothing comes through, it is hard to keep your faith because you feel abandoned by the one great God you have been praying to.
The other big challenge has been finding people you can ably walk the spiritual journey with. People you can account to.

It is not easy to be a true Christian in these times, because of the negativity around us. I receive bad comments from people around me, telling me about how we assume to be and act holy, yet the Pastors and fellow Christians act contrary to what they preach and condemn.

Collin Kimbowa.

There are some conditions in Church that make it hard to enjoy Christianity. For example, things like the unmarried not being best man or maid of honour for those getting married. Then there are also false teachers who mislead people and at the same time they want to extort money from people. This is so confusing.
