“And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt (Exodus 12:13).
This is in summary of the Easter story. Most of us missed Easter cerebrations in a church setting in April due to Covid-19 pandemic. But I am sure whether Church building or otherwise, we still rejoiced over what Jesus did for each one of us, when He shed His precious blood more than 2000 years ago.
The Easter celebration story is more than 6000 years old when God rescued the children of Israel from bondage in Egypt. Those who obeyed and applied the blood of the lamb on their doors/houses were saved. Those who refused to do this, were destroyed.
This was a mighty and outstretched hand of God. God instructed Moses that this day of deliverance should be remembered every year for generations to come until Jesus returns.
This is even so today in the Christian world. It was also about the coming of Jesus to the world to shade His blood so that humanity could be saved. When one becomes a Christian, the blood of Jesus covers that person. That person is eternally sealed from death. This is the Good News that we bring to you and your family.
Be blessed as you continue to have fellowship with us by reading this paper. We welcome comments and suggestions. May the blood of Jesus cover you over the Covid-19 pandemic! No virus will enter your dwelling place because you are covered by the blood of Jesus Christ.
