Phaneroo worship team was announced ‘Best Pentecostal Choir of the Year’, during celebrations to recognize and award individuals, media platforms and faith-based institutions and companies.
The event happened on January 28, 2023 at the Makerere’s University Community Fellowship (UCF).
Other choirs nominated in the same category included Worship Harvest, Miracle Centre Cathedral, Watoto, Kasanga Miracle Center and Glory of Christ worship teams.
Elsewhere, legendary gospel minister and pastor, Wilson Bugembe’s fast-rising worship ministers: Godfrey Kwezi, Gabie Ntate and longtime Christian music staple, Florence Rukundo, were among the winners in various categories.
Gospel star, Levixone, scooped three (3) awards including the Humantarian Award for his work with charity organization, 92Hands, Afrobeat Artiste Of The Year and Afrobeat Song Of The Year, for his single ‘Enjoy Yo Blessing.’
Florence Rukundo was honored with the Artiste Of The Decade award.
Her songs include Bwaka, released in 2006, Ssuubi Lyange released in 2005, and Omununuzi, among others.
