Christian believers all over the world celebrate Easter Sunday because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Since many people hoped the Messiah was to be crowned King and end the rule of the Romans who had been oppressing them, His death on the Cross left many believers devastated and helpless.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, on the other hand knew this was a time to defeat the devil through His death, thereby fulfilling His mission of reconciling man back to God and be made one through His resurrection.
The fall of man, which came as a result of disobedience to God, meant man was separated from his Creator because of Sin (Genesis 2:15-17).
But we thank God for His great love for mankind. “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” ( John 3:16).
God the Father sent His Son as Savior of the world: “Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst.
“But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life” ( 1 John 4:14).
Jesus, who is the only way to the truth and eternal life (John 14:6), suffered death for us so that we could live forever (Hebrews 2: 9).
He gave His life willingly for our sake and as a result of His death on the Cross, He fulfilled God’s redemption plan for man; Hallelujah!
My friend, will you accept the grace of God by accepting the resurrected Jesus as your Lord and Savior?
This is a personal choice you alone can make, call on His name and invite Him to take over your life. He is waiting for your call because He loves you and wants you to be part of the eternal inheritance.
