One of the most important things in this generation is walking in wisdom. It is important that all the information you get or rather come across in your spheres is translated, so that you may walk in wisdom.
The Bible says we ought to train up a child in the way they should go so that they may not depart from it when they grow up.
The investment of wisdom is one of the greatest inheritances one could give to a child. It does not matter wherever they go; they will become different from all their peers.
It is difficult to depart from that path. Much as it is important to equip children with various life skills, we cannot underestimate the value of wisdom; which is the wisdom of God.
The human spirit ought to be exercised in the wisdom of God. This is a force that works in a man’s spirit and influences his manner of life, later on affecting his future.
The kind of future you have or will have is as a result of the function of wisdom.
For example, how do you choose a Church to fellowship from? This choice affects your life and the time you are left with on Earth.
To redeem your future and the time you have requires the function of wisdom.
Ephesians 5:15-16: “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”
Important wisdom aspects
There are two important angels of defense that preserve the life of man: the angel of money and the angel of wisdom.
Ecclesiastes 7:12: “For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.”
In life, you will need to know how to control money; the more information you have about taking charge of your finances, the safer you are.
The purpose of money is important in one’s life, meaning it is a defense.
However, the excellency of knowledge is that wisdom gives life. If somebody is trained to walk in wisdom, then they are being given life.
There are many things that wisdom can protect one from, yet money would not.
So, it is not enough to make money; you need wisdom to enjoy it. He that walks with the wise becomes wise.
1 Corinthians 1:17
“For Christ sent me not to baptise, but to preach the Gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the Cross of Christ should be made of none effect.”
Intellectual wisdom devalues the Cross of Christ. What Jesus did on the Cross is robbed of its effect to the human spirit by this wisdom.
The life of the Spirit man is in Christ. However, if a man does not understand the power of the Cross of Christ, he makes decisions basing on the flesh because they have been affected by the wisdom in words. Walking in true wisdom is walking in the Word of God.
A spirit man ought to be completely filled with the knowledge of God’s will.
Understanding God’s Will helps one walk with Him, making life easy. If you walk in the knowledge of God’s Will, you will increase with fruitful results.
There are three levels of knowledge:
a) Recognition of knowledge.
b) Awareness of knowledge.
c) Relationship of knowledge. Here, you get closer with this knowledge, keep it, and it is the excellent way.
It is not enough to recognise or be aware of knowledge, but to relate with it; hence becoming one with it to the extent of yielding results.
How to recognize wisdom
Ephesians 1:17: “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.”
Here, a man is relating with God in the knowledge of Him, which means he will do things in the perspective of God. They will walk pleasing to God. Christ is our wisdom.
It is, therefore, important that a man makes up his mind to walk in the wisdom of God for in this, he will not fail. Love wisdom like your kinsman- more than money, silver or gold.
Proverbs 8:11: “For Wisdom is better than all the trappings of wealth; nothing you could wish for holds a candle to her.”
