The last two weeks of September were somber and sad moments for the Born-Again faith movement in Uganda as they mourned the passing of Pastor Gideon Mulinde.

The youthful highly acclaimed worshipper and son to World Trumpet Mission founder, Bishop Dr John Mulinde, died on September 23, 2021 after a very short illness at Yesu Akwagala Hospital, where he had been taken for treatment.
A memorial service for the youthful Pastor was held at the National Prayer Mountain Seguku hill, Kampala.

Eulogising the deceased, Pastor Robert Kayanja Junior who serves under Miracle Centre Cathedral Rubaga, referred to the late Mulinde as a great worshipper, leader, good personal friend and an absolute joy to be around.

“My family will not be the same without you; we will always celebrate and cherish you because we all love you and you always made our lives better,” he said.

At the time of his death, the late Mulinde and his wife Faith Mulinde had just celebrated their first anniversary in marriage and had plans of hosting a worship event in conjunction with Sinza Children’s Ministry.

The event organisers said Gideon’s death left them at loss of words and they chose to broadcast the pre-recorded bits of the event in his memory.

Mulinde was the founder of the ‘Order of Melchizedek’, an organisation whose aim is to groom new young Christian leaders taking revival and Kingdom leadership principles to all walks of life.

He was laid to rest on September 28, 2021 at Kanganda Village, Kabembe Parish, in Mukono District.
